Why the same broker can be different across countries

By Founder & Lead Broker Reviewer Updated 1 min read

How one brand’s leverage, client protection and payment options change once you look at the company that actually serves each market.

One brand, several companies

Most large Forex brands operate through several legal entities. Each entity holds its own licence, in its own jurisdiction, under its own rules. When you sign up, the broker assigns you to one of them based on where you live.

That assignment decides your maximum leverage, which compensation scheme (if any) applies and which payment methods you can use. Two readers on the same website can end up with very different accounts.

What to check before you deposit

  • The entity name in the client agreement shown to you during sign-up
  • Whether that entity appears on the regulator’s own register
  • Which payment methods the entity supports for your country

This article is sample content for the demo site.
