Is Vantage Legal in Vietnam?
No. Vantage is not licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) or any other Vietnamese regulator to provide forex or CFD brokerage services in Vietnam.
Vietnam does not currently have a regulatory framework that licenses offshore forex and CFD brokers. Because of this, Vantage provides its services to Vietnamese residents through one of its overseas regulated entities rather than through a locally incorporated and licensed company.
When you open a Vantage account from Vietnam, you are entering into an agreement with the specific Vantage entity that accepts your application. Your account is therefore governed by that entity’s regulator, legal terms, and client agreement instead of Vietnamese financial regulations.
Can I Open an Vantage Account in Vietnam?
Yes. During our testing, we successfully registered a new Vantage account from Vietnam without using a VPN or any special requirements.
The registration process is completed entirely online and takes only a few steps. First, create an account with your email address and verify your email. Next, enter your personal information, including your full name and phone number. You then complete identity verification (KYC), secure your account with phone verification and two-factor authentication (2FA), make your first deposit, and start trading.

Which Vantage Regulator Applies to Vietnamese Clients?
Our test account from Vietnam was registered under Vantage Global Limited, a company authorised and regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC).
Vantage assigns clients to different legal entities based on its onboarding policies and the regulatory requirements that apply at the time of registration. The entity assigned to your account may therefore differ depending on your country of residence and other eligibility factors.
The regulator supervising your account is determined by the legal entity shown in your account documentation. This also determines the client protection measures, legal terms, and dispute resolution framework that apply to your account.
What Protection Does This Regulator Provide?
Although Vantage is not licensed by any financial regulator in Vietnam, clients who open an account under Vantage Global Limited, regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC), receive the client protection measures required under that regulatory framework and Vantage’s internal operating policies.
These protections include:
- Segregated client funds – Client money is kept separate from Vantage’s own operating funds, helping to prevent it from being used for the company’s day-to-day business activities.
- Funds held with recognised banking institutions – Client funds are maintained with established financial institutions in accordance with Vantage’s client money procedures.
- Client money controls and reconciliation – Vantage performs regular reconciliations and internal controls to help ensure that client balances are accurately recorded and safeguarded.
- Identity verification before withdrawals – Withdrawal requests are subject to account verification and security checks to help reduce the risk of unauthorised transactions.
- Negative balance protection – Retail clients cannot lose more than the funds available in their trading account, helping to limit losses during periods of extreme market volatility.
It is important to note that these safeguards improve the protection of client funds and account security, but they do not eliminate the trading risks associated with leveraged CFD products.
Our Assessment
During our account registration test from Vietnam, our account was assigned to Vantage Global Limited, which is regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC).
Vietnamese clients are not covered by Vietnam’s domestic financial regulatory system when trading with Vantage. Instead, the level of protection depends on the Vantage entity that manages the account. For our test account, this included safeguards such as segregated client funds, identity verification before withdrawals, and internal controls designed to protect client money and account security.
TThese measures help reduce operational and security risks, but they do not remove the risks of trading leveraged CFD products or the legal considerations of using an offshore broker. Before opening an account, check which Vantage legal entity will accept your registration and review the client protections provided under that entity’s regulatory framework.
Can I Deposit and Withdraw in VND?
Yes. Vantage allows clients in Vietnam to deposit and withdraw funds in VND through supported local bank transfer methods.
In our testing, both the deposit and withdrawal were processed successfully using a Vietnamese bank account. The deposit was credited to our USD trading account in approximately 1 minute, and the withdrawal was completed in approximately 1 minute using the same payment method.

Vantage Local Experience in Vietnam
Website Accessibility
During our testing, we were able to access Vantage’s official website from Vietnam without any connectivity issues. Unlike some offshore brokers that operate through multiple regional domains, Vantage used a single website throughout our testing.
We did not need to use a VPN, change our IP address, or apply any other workaround. The same website remained accessible for the entire process, including account registration, identity verification, deposits, withdrawals, and live trading.
Our Experience
Several official The official Vantage website remained accessible throughout our testing in Vietnam. We completed every step, from opening an account to funding it and placing trades, using the same website without requiring a VPN or any changes to our internet connection.
Mobile App Availability
The Vantage mobile app was available for download during our testing in Vietnam.
We successfully installed the app on both Android and iOS devices without using a VPN, changing our app store region, or applying any additional configuration.
Vietnamese Language Support
Vantage offers a Vietnamese-language interface on both its website and mobile app for clients in Vietnam.
During our testing, we were able to complete the entire account journey in Vietnamese, including registration, account management, deposits, withdrawals, and trading, without switching to another language.
Customer Support in Vietnamese
We contacted Vantage customer support nine times during our testing to evaluate the quality and availability of Vietnamese-language support.
Our first successful conversation was conducted in English. We later contacted support as a Vietnamese client and reached a Vietnamese-speaking agent only on our final attempt. The remaining requests did not connect us to a live representative. Instead, Vantage sent follow-up emails apologising for the delay and responding to our enquiries by email.
Vantage provides a chatbot as the first point of contact. The chatbot can answer predefined questions about accounts and platform features but cannot provide personalised assistance. When available, live chat support is also offered in Vietnamese through a human support representative.
Our Experience
The chatbot responded immediately to basic questions during every test. However, connecting to a live support agent was inconsistent. Out of nine support requests, we reached a live representative only twice. For the remaining requests, Vantage followed up by email instead of providing live chat assistance.
Our Assessment
We were able to register an account, access the website, deposit and withdraw funds through Vietnam Bank Transfer, and trade without using a VPN or changing our internet connection. These features make the platform straightforward to use from Vietnam.
Vantage does not currently support VND as a trading account base currency. All trading accounts are denominated in USD, so deposits in VND are converted to USD before reaching the trading account, and withdrawals are converted back to VND. While this introduces exchange rate conversion during deposits and withdrawals, it is not necessarily a disadvantage. Many active traders prefer to keep their trading account in USD because most forex pairs, commodities, and major indices are quoted in USD, avoiding additional currency conversion while trades remain open.
Is Vantage the Best Broker for Vietnamese Traders in 2026?
Our testing found that Vantage provides a practical trading experience for clients in Vietnam. The platform supports local bank deposits and withdrawals in VND, offers a Vietnamese-language interface, and allows traders to access the website and mobile app without using a VPN.
There are also some limitations. Vantage does not offer VND as a trading account base currency, so all trading accounts are denominated in USD. In addition, Vantage is not licensed by any financial regulator in Vietnam. Our test account was opened under Vantage Global Limited, regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC), which means Vietnamese financial regulations do not apply to the account.
Overall, Vantage is a solid choice for Vietnamese traders who are comfortable using an offshore-regulated CFD broker. Its straightforward account opening process, fast local bank transfers, and accessible platform are notable strengths. However, traders should understand which Vantage legal entity manages their account and the client protections provided under that regulatory framework before opening an account.
